Anh Kiệt bên Paris hỏi có hứng vẽ bìa cho quyển ebook chú giải truyện Kiều mà anh đang chuẩn bị . Nghe dễ nhưng mà không dễ. Tôi cố tìm trên mạng một bức hình mẫu và trong tiến trình đó thấy được những hình bìa cho truyện Kiều đã phát hành. Tôi thấy Kiều trong những hình đó hiền qúa, không "sắc sảo mặn mà" như cụ Nguyễn Du tả. My dear friend in Paris, Mr. Kiet, suggested that I may find inspiration to paint a cover for an ebook about "Truyen Kieu" (the most important book in Vietnamese literature) that he was preparing. It is not as simple as it sounds! I had to do some research and in the process found several covers, all illustrated Kieu as a gentle beauty which in my mind did not translate well the type of beauty that Nguyen Du described.
