Công Nghệ AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Càng ngày càng có nhiều tin tức trên TV và mạng xã hội về ảnh hưởng của AI vào nhiều lãnh vực: hội họa, nhiếp ảnh, âm nhạc, thơ văn ... Tôi nghĩ như những công nghệ khác AI sẽ đem đến những tiện dụng cho đời sống và sẽ ảnh hưởng đến việc làm của một số ngành nghề (như desktop publishing ảnh hưởng nghề xếp chữ và nghề in những năm 1980s).

Increasingly there are more and more news on TV and social media about how AI (Artificial Intelligence) impacts various areas of our life: paintings, photography, music, writings … I think like other technologies AI will bring conveniences to our life and will impact jobs in certain areas (like desktop publishing in 1980s impacted the typesetting and printing industries)

Bộ máy AI nổi tiếng nhất là Mid Journey. Dùng kỹ thuật "text to image" (dùng chữ tạo hình) người dùng có thể tạo ra hình ảnh mà chỉ cần dùng chữ để miêu tả. Nhiều người khen hình của Mid Journey mà không biết đó là hình được máy vẽ.

The most well-known AI engine is Mid Journey. By using “text to image” technique people can create images just by describing what they want in words. Many people were impressed by Mid Journey images without knowing that they were created by machines. 

Và nhiều người dùng Mid Journey tự phong cho họ cái danh hiệu "họa sĩ". Theo tự điện Webster thì họa sĩ là "người tạo ra tác phẩm nghệ thuật bằng khả năng và trí sáng tạo ". Tôi không gọi những người thợ Mid Journey là họa sĩ vì họ hoàn toàn không có khả năng vẽ và óc sáng tạo, họ chỉ giỏi về coding.

And many Mid Journey users declared themselves as “artists”. Webster dictionary defines artist as “a person who creates art (such as painting, sculpture, music, or writing) using conscious skill and creative imagination”. I wouldn’t call these Mid Journey technicians artists as they have no drawing/painting ability and no creative imagination. They are just good with coding.

Tôi thích kỹ thuật "image to image" (dùng hình tạo hình)  hơn và có thể dùng kỹ thuật này để khám phá những hình ảnh mới dựa vào hình ảnh mà tôi đã tạo ra. Dưới đây là một thí dụ.

I prefer the “image to image” technique and can use it to explore other options based on images that I create. Here is an example.

AI vẫn còn trong thời kỳ phôi thai và có nhiều vấn đề, nhất là về bàn tay (khá lý thú vì vẽ bàn tay vẫn là một điều khó khăn cho người học vẽ cho nên máy có vấn đề này thì cũng dễ hiểu).

AI is still in its infancy and has a few issues, particularly at drawing hands (which is interesting because human have hard time drawing hands too)
